Installation ( possível imagem) – 1990/2009
The first montage of this installation occupied two walls facing each other in a room at the Solar Grandjean de Montigny,PUC, RJ.
76 pieces are lined up side by side in a very vertical fashion on the wall of a room, while on the opposite wall another 76 pieces are lined up against the wall side by side, albeit at an angle.
This configuration unbalances our spatial perception, emphasised by the constant rusting process that occurs in each tube in a temporal movement. The rust powder is deposited in a constant and very slow movement.
Later it was presented at the solo exhibition “o lugar do ar” in MAM, Rio de Janeiro. 2009
In this presentation the work was displaced in just one wall, with a slightly different dimension – 235 x 400 x 60 cm.
